"Video
Downloads" Section Premier!
VegettoEX
@ 10:40 pm EDT -- Well, we've been putting up tons
of video game openings and even the original Japanese
DBZ movie 13 trailer, so we figured we'd just throw
up an entire "Video
Downloads" page for you to grab everything
from!
In
addition to everything we've been featuring,
you can also find the the opening AND ending
to Battle Stadium D.O.N.! They're amazingly
fun, and if you're anything like me, you'll cry
with fanboy awesomeness upon seeing the ending.
We're
not here to bootleg. We will not ever feature "full
epz" or any of that nonsense; if you've been
a visitor of this site for any amount of time, you
know what to expect. Please support the fandom you
love so much, and if you enjoy what you see, seek
out the items and purchase them to see the full-quality. |

DBZ
Movie 13 Original Japanese Trailer/Promo
VegettoEX
@ 7:00 am EDT -- Tons of people have been asking
and looking for a trailer for DBZ movie 13, so I
figured we should oblige! We've added the original
Japanese trailer/promo for the movie (Ryû-Ken
Bakuhatsu!! Gokû ga Yaraneba Dare ga Yaru,
re-titled by FUNimation Wrath
Of The Dragon) for download over on
the right of the main page. This particular version
comes from this year's DB & DBZ movie "Dragon
Box". Enjoy!
Look
forward to another great media update, hopefully
later tonight... |

Battle
Stadium D.O.N. Minor Notes
VegettoEX
@ 9:20 pm EDT -- Playing through the game, and just
wanted to put this information out there. The name
of the opening theme is "don't give up"
as performed by Hironobu
Kageyama & Hiroshi Kitadani. The ending theme
(as composed by Eiichi Ueda) is called "after
the feast"... and I have to say, the video
that goes along with the ending just made me cry
like the fanboy I am. Holy crap.
No
word yet on a CD single... |

Sparking!
NEO Character Updates
VegettoEX
@ 7:00 am EDT -- Thanks to the magic of the internet,
Jeux-France
has up scans from the latest V-Jump in
Japan, which includes screen-shots of even more
characters in Sparking! NEO... along with
a confirmation of October
5th (not the
19th as previously reported) for at least the PS2.
Since there's still no official release date for
the Wii, they have not committed to a date on that
version.
Anyway,
characters new to the Sparking! series
include:
- Zangya
(DBZ Movie 9)
- Sauza
(DBZ Movie 5)
- Garlic
Jr. (DBZ Movie 1, etc.)
- Paikuhan
(DBZ Movie 12, etc.)
- Yajirobe
The
issue also includes features on games such as (duh)
Battle Stadium D.O.N.
Happy
(Japanese) Battle Stadium D.O.N. Day!
VegettoEX
@ 7:00 am EDT -- Battle Stadium D.O.N.
sees its release in Japan on the PlayStation 2 &
Gamecube today! Those of you who ordered it from
Play-Asia probably had it shipped out to you on
Tuesday (like I did), so look for it coming in this
week! Much excitement. Check recent updates for
things like the opening video, characters, gameplay
footage, etc.
Look
for a full review of the game on not this weekend's
podcast,
but the next weekend's. Yay! |

Sparking!
NEO JP Release Date?
VegettoEX
@ 9:53 pm EDT -- The
Magic Box has stated that Japanese retailers
are listing a street day of October 19th
for Sparking! NEO on both
the PS2 and the Wii. Interesting. The
official website has no information on this
subject at this time, but this date has been reflected
on the Play-Asia
entry.
Happy
(American) Super DBZ Day!
VegettoEX
@ 7:12 am EDT -- Super DragonBall Z sees
its release in North America on the PlayStation
2 today!
If
you haven't been following the site that closely,
you'll have missed our full review of the game in
Podcast
Episode #0034, along with a new "Tidbit"
showcasing all of the characters. We also have the
Japanese opening available for download over on
the right of this main page.
From
what I've been hearing, there's no option for the
original Japanese voices in the US release of the
game. Also, the sound effects are changed to be
written out in English :P Sucks for those waiting
on the American version! The imports are calling
to you... *insert ghost sounds here* |

FUNimation's
Devious Plans For DBZ's Future on DVD
VegettoEX
@ 6:15 pm EDT -- Well, the big news today is...
without a doubt... the goings-on with DBZ's future
on DVD, and specifically the season one boxset we
first reported on back in May.
FUNimation
has left a message on the Right
Stuf home page saying the following:
We
will re-announce this title with a new release
date in Quarter 1 2007, and there will be other
major announcements concerning the property at
that time. These season sets are being enhanced
and restored, and many new features are being
added. Runtimes and packaging will also be different.
You'd
have to be silly not to connect the dots and start
thinking like a true fanboy... has FUNimation secured
the rights to the remastered "Dragon Box"
footage? No-one's confirming one way or the other,
but the boxset's delay until 06 February
2007 and the promise of additional material
sure seems to point in that general direction.
I
have to admit... if this ends up being true, it
really sucks that they were already nine discs into
the re-release of the first season when they decided
to stop and go with the remastered version :P.
We're
not going to bow down and start reporting pure rumors
(omg
lik3 thTye RelAwisng ENTIRE serieZ aGiAn wiTh Remasterd!!!1)...
but we'll certainly be the first to let you know
when further official statements
come out! In the meantime, discuss this big one
over in the
respective forum thread.
Oh
yeah... Cell and Majin Buu are confirmed playable
in Battle Stadium D.O.N., if you didn't
already know! |

Battle
Stadium D.O.N. Video Footage
VegettoEX
@ 6:21 pm EDT -- Play-Asia
is hosting several clips from this week's Battle
Stadium D.O.N. Japanese release, including
the opening movie! While the models are a little
flat and budget looking, it's incredibly fun and
features a new song performed by both Hironobu Kageyama
(DragonBall Z) and Hiroshi Kitadani (One
Piece).
The
game officially drops this Thursday (July
20th) in Japan... and
no, don't count on an American release.
There's
still no word on whether the song will receive a
CD single release, but considering it's for such
a high-profile game with such well-known performers,
I wouldn't count on it taking forever.
We'll
have our own media from the game up for your viewing
very soon...! :D |

Super
DragonBall Z American Release Date?

we discovered while recording Episode #0034 of the
podcast this evening (no, it's not ready, yet!)...
Super DragonBall Z now has a release date
listed on its
Amazon entry! July 18th! This
happens to be the same day that its official strategy
guide is coming out, as well.
Do
with this information as you will. Until then, I'm
shooting at people with Mecha-Freeza, already :P.
Also,
Play-Asia is having a sale on some DBZ stuffage
right now. Our good ol' forum member / podcast listener
/ prize donator / friend Tanooki Kuribo
has outlined a whole bunch of them over in this
forum post. Game soundtracks and import games
(including some really old ones!) on the cheap.
