New
Section! "The Buzz"
VegettoEX
@ 4:50 pm EDT -- In yet another one of my completely
random and spontaneous website decisions, I've created
an entirely new section!
Looking
for a single place to find out the latest news on
a variety of things? Sick of looking through dated
archives with vague headings? Worry no more! Check
out "The
Buzz"~!
Check
it out for all the latest updates on the live-action
movie, Budokai 3 (and other new video games),
the DBZ re-dub, and more. w00t for me. |

Hey,
I Actually Got To "Ask VegettoEX" This
Weekend!
VegettoEX
@ 11:17 pm EDT -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been updated, for the first
time in two weeks! Yay! Some fun questions, this
time around. There were a couple that were submitted
that I'm saving for either next week or sometime
soon after... they're going to require a little
research and info digging.
So
Julian and I are actually working on some content.
Expect some more real stuff coming soon. Also, if
you're headed to AnimeNext,
this year... be sure to come check out the "DragonBall:
20 Years of Fandom" panel~! Myself, Julian,
Meri,
and Maggie
will be your hosts and panelists. Any questions
you have, or fun discussions you'd like to have...
we're looking forward to it! Expect to hear some
more ranting about it soon, but that's an official
heads up. The panel will be Saturday at 1 pm, located
in Panel 2 / Diamond. See ya! |

DBGT
on GBA... only... it's not a video game, folks
VegettoEX
@ 1:02 pm EDT -- As reported over on ANN,
Majecso will be putting out some DBGT episodes on
GameBoy Advance. I believe they're something like
one or two episodes (at a low frame-rate) on a cartridge.
I'm sure they'll be dub-only.
But
hey, it's news. And that's what we do. Only,
we've got cool songs to check out, too. Go us! |

Full
Length Japanese Vocal Budokai 2 / DBZ2
Opening!
VegettoEX
@ 2:30 pm EDT -- Huge thanks to ANT Link15 for staying
up well past 2 am over in Japan, sticking with me
step by step in getting this audio ripped from DragonBall
Z 2. Head on over to the "Music
Downloads" page to download the full-length
vocal version of the DBZ2 / Budokai
2 opening theme, performed by Hironobu Kageyama!
Enjoy!
Sure
to be stolen... just remember who loves ya' first
and most.
No
"Ask VegettoEX"
this weekend. Not enough questions. Eh, it happens. |

Japanese
Vocal Budokai 2 / DBZ2 Opening MP3 Added!
VegettoEX
@ 9:30 pm EDT -- Huge thanks to forum go-er TotoGuy
for all the help in ripping this from the game.
Head on over to the "Music
Downloads" page to download the short version
of the original Japanese vocal Budokai 2
/ DBZ2 PlayStation 2 game opening theme!
This
is the highest-quality version you're going to find
on the net, digitally ripped from the game, downsampled
to 44 kHz, and encoded at 192 kbps stereo MP3. It's
still not quite the "DVD Quality" that
the game contains, so if you want the full quality,
you're just going to have to buy the game, yourself~!
If
you own the original Japanese (NOT European,
and NO online downloads / rips... there's a difference!)
disc of this video game (which is called DragonBall
Z 2), please e-mail us. We'd like your help
in getting the full-length Japanese vocal verison
ripped! |

"Music
Database" Updates in the Works
VegettoEX
@ 10:05 am EDT -- Big thanks to "telmo marques"
from Portugal, who has sent us in a butt-load of
new CD cover scans and tracklistings, including
those for the ever-elusive Hyper Dimension
OST~! So expect Julian and myself to be living in
that section for a little bit, cleaning up all the
new entries. There's some other cool stuff coming,
but that's the heads-up!
Come
back to the chat, folks! Let's talk about doing
trivia sessions, again! |

Movie
9 (Bojack Unbound) + DBGT "Lost"
#1 Cover Art
VegettoEX
@ 12:38 pm EDT -- Thanks to FusionHA2071 for the
heads-up. Amazon
has posted up cover-art for not only the English
release of DBZ movie 9, but also the first volume
of the DBGT "Lost Episodes."
So
fans have one less thing to complain about, now
that FUNimation is using the original Japanese
cover art for DBZ movie 9. Don't believe me?
Here it is:
The
"Movie
Guide" has been updated appropriately (still
gotta do the appropriate "DVD Guide" page,
but whatever). Also, check out the DBGT
page in the "DVD Guide" for the cover
art for DBGT's "Lost Episodes" volume
1, which will contain the actual first
three episodes to the series.
And
with that, please check out the below update. It's
much more enthralling. There's content. Lots of
it. Fun stuff. |

"Ask
VegettoEX" + Budokai MP3s + New Editorial
VegettoEX
@ 11:15 pm EDT -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been udpated after not being
touched in three weeks. Ack, sorry! Between the
end of college life and the new apartment move,
I just didn't get around to it until now. There's
a good batch of questions that have been answered,
though, so be sure to check
them out!
To
make up for it, there's also some awesome general
content updates. Head on over to the "Music
Downloads" page for full 192 kbps MP3 encodes
of the "CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA" ending
instrumental from the first Budokai, and
the full-length opening American instrumental of
the Budokai 2 theme song! I've finally
mastered the art of PS2 audio ripping, so you get
to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Expect... yes...
the full-length Japanese vocal version of the Budokai
2 opening very, very soon!
To
top it off, I've
posted a new editorial. It's actually an eighteen
page paper I wrote for my Gender & Technology
class my last semester at school, concerning the
roles of gender with shonen anime. It's
a fun read, which includes interviews by some people
you might know! I don't claim to be a master of
all things knowledge when related to anime, but
I was very happy with the final product (plus, I
got an "A" in the class, so nyah~!).
And
hey, for extra good measure, here's
some Buu's Fury screen shots. It's
obviously a Legacy of Goku style game.
See
you all again, soon~. |

Banpresto
Announces DBZ Game for Nintendo DS
VegettoEX
@ 11:15 pm EDT -- The
Magic Box has reported some new Nintendo line-ups
for the upcoming Nintendo DS portable
game system (the one with two screens). Among the
list of games is an unspecified DBZ game developed
by Banpresto (yes, it will be a Japanese game).
I
know, I didn't do "Ask
VegettoEX" this weekend / week. Wasn't
going to happen with the move. For those interested,
yes, Meri and I are all moved into the new apartment,
with a rockin' wireless network set up. w00t. I'll
be able to update soon, so look for it~! |

Budokai
3 Screenshots... Suspiciously Similar to DBZ2V
VegettoEX
@ 5:39 pm EDT -- The
Magic Box has thrown up three new images of
Budokai 3. Strangely... these images show
the new characters from the Budokai 2 expansion
disc in Japan, entitled DragonBall Z 2 V
(DragonBall Z 2 being the name of the game,
and the "V" referring to V-Jump,
a Japanese video game magazine that's doing the
tie-in advertising).
Broli
and Coola. Two characters announced for DBZ2V. Will
Kuriza be popping up soon? The Budokai
ring is the same as it was in Budokai 2.
Is this the exact same game as DBZ2V, anyway? Will
we have to shell out $40-50 for the same damn game
with a few extra characters?
God
dammit, give us some actual information, Atari :P.
Expect
an "Ask VegettoEX"
tomorrow (hopefully! Moving stuff over to the new
apartment all weekend! Ack!) |

Movie
9 Announced + "Don't you see!" Remix MP3
VegettoEX
@ 9:57 pm EDT -- FUNimation
has finally released some information about the
upcoming release of DBZ movie 9. Going with the
name that's been on the trading / collectible card
game (Bojack Unbound), we can apparently
expect to see movie 9 released "sometime in
August." (Update: Right
Stuf has the movie listed for release on 17
August.) If you can't wait to learn more about the
movie, remember that we've got full
information and a detailed
synopsis of the movie up!
Also,
I've thrown up a brand new dance remix of DBGT's
second closing theme, "Don't you see!"
It's off of a special remix album that you could
only purchase at live ZARD concerts in Japan. Hurray
for Japanese fans! Check
it out.
And
on a personal, special note... there is a certain
Brazilian site out there that we'd like to give
a shout-out to. They happen to have taken all of
our kanzenban
covers and "Other
Artists" images in the past, and have now
taken our new kanzenban ending scans, even
going so far as to translate (from Julian's English
translation) the scans over to Portuguese. They've
done all this without so much as mentioning us,
let alone giving us credit for scanning, editing
and posting the images.
Hey
guys... you're lame. Just thought we'd confirm that
for you. We know you'll be reading this, since you'll
inevitably be back to steal more content (rather
than — God forbid! — make some for yourselves).
Sorry,
no "Ask VegettoEX"
this week. Graduation's more important to me, right
now ^^. Ja~! |
