[ Main Information ] [ Detailed Synopsis ]

DragonBall Z Movie # 9

"Ginga Giri-Giri!! Butchigiri no Sugoi Yatsu"
("The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy")

"Bojack Unbound"

Basic Synopsis

Mr. Money is sponsoring a new style of Budôkai as a present for his son's birthday. He has invited aliens to compete in the tournament. Gohan, Trunks, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Kuririn, and Piccolo battle their way (or don't battle their way!) to the semi-final rounds, only to find that the alien guests have been killed by a new foe: Bojack.

Bojack was originally sealed away by all four Kaiô when he tried to take over all of the galaxies; however, with the Northern Kaiô dead (thanks to Cell, and Goku's not-so-quick thinking), the seal has been broken, and Bojack has chosen Earth as his new home. With Goku dead, Gohan must take over the role as the protector of Earth, and save not only his friends, but his planet.

Special Notes

This movie goes back to not containing music by "real" American bands, and instead returns to Mark Menza once again for the English dub's musical score. Included is the now traditional 5.1 and 2.0 English audio tracks, and the original Japanese mono audio track. Interestingly, the end credits to the movie list each individual character and their English voice, possibly a first for a FUNimation DBZ property.
