Podcast Episode #0066
VegettoEX @ 10:10 pm EST -- Episode #0066 of the podcast is available for download! This week Meri and I took a look (and listen!) back at the original dub and re-dub from FUNimation, all the way back in good ol' 1996. Did you know that the very first two episodes of DBZ had about a dozen lines re-recorded that you can only hear in the original broadcast? Listen in with us as we discuss these changes. You also have one more week to get in those contest entries and win that... well, we can't say "amazing" prize... or even "good" prize... but it's that "remastered" season one set. Yeah. That thing. You know... the one we keep talking about :P. Definitely check it out.

You'll also notice a couple little cosmetic changes here on the main page. Nothing too significant, but they're there :D.

Podcast Episode #0065 — The Big Orange Review
VegettoEX @ 9:25 pm EST -- Episode #0065 of the podcast is available for download! We finally got around to it, this week. As we've called it, "The Big Orange Review" is our in-depth analysis of FUNimation's lies and deceit to fandom with their so-called "Remastered" DBZ Season One DVD boxset. If there's anything we didn't cover on the show, hopefully Corey's review website will go into that further detail you were looking for (including all the images you can eat). Definitely check it out.

And because we're nice (and because Tanooki Kuribo continues to steal things off the back of trucks), we're giving away this damn set. We don't want it. Maybe you do. Let's make it perfectly clear that FUNimation has nothing to do with this contest... it didn't come from them for us to give to you, and honestly, we don't want you to spend your money on this garbage. Listen to the episode for full details. All it takes is a simple e-mail!

I've also taken the time out this evening to make some muchly-needed updates to the "DVD Guide". I'm really tired, so hopefully I didn't screw up too many things :P. Drop me a line if you see anything funky. Kami knows these damn re-releases create a confusion opportunity to try and clear things up for you all!

Podcast Episode #0064
VegettoEX @ 8:27 pm EST -- Episode #0064 of the podcast is available for download! We had a couple audio issues with the new setup this week, but no biggie... it's the content that counts. This week, we took a look at Norio Wakamoto's performance of Cell in the TV series, and analyzed how his acting adapted with each transformation (in terms of general sound, grammar, noises, etc.) Super fun stuff, with lots of voice samples! Definitely check it out.

Harukanaru Gokû Densetsu JP Delay?
VegettoEX @ 7:11 am EST -- Play-Asia's listing for Harukanaru Gokû Densetsu now says 21 March 2007, which would certainly explain why it hasn't been shipped, yet.

Major bummer.

06 February 2007

JP Super DragonBall Z $19.90 at Play-Asia
VegettoEX @ 6:54 pm EST -- Always good to have folks like Tanooki Kuribo on top of things for us. Play-Asia's got a rockin' deal on Super DragonBall Z for the Japanese PS2... a mere $19.90. If you haven't picked this game up yet and can play JP PS2 games, this is the way to go.

Podcast Episode #0063
VegettoEX @ 8:05 pm EST -- Episode #0063 of the podcast is available for download! This is perhaps the biggest, most important episode of any podcast you will ever hear. You think FUNimation has news? You think FUNimation has an important product? FUNimation's got nothing on Daizenshuu EX. In addition to our first-ever Audio Press Reelase, we also brought on Jeff to start up the new monthly segment, where we review and analyze a volume of the manga (in chronological order). Definitely check it out.

Stay tuned, as our Audio Press Release will soon be available as a full-quality, stereo MP3 download. In the meantime, please enjoy it in context with the podcast episode.

Harukanaru Goku Densetsu Boxart
VegettoEX @ 1:39 pm EST -- Courtesy of Amazon, we also have the boxart for the upcoming DS game. They seem to be supporting the 01 May 2007 US release date, as well.

For your reference, we updated with the Japanese boxart a while back.

Check back later today for Podcast Episode #0063, and perhaps the biggest DragonBall and Daizenshuu EX news of the century.

03 February 2007

Shin Budokai: Another Road Boxart
VegettoEX @ 8:11 am EST -- Courtesy of Amazon, we have the boxart for the US version of Shin Budokai 2 for the PSP, entitled over here Shin Budokai: Another Road.

Piccolo? Huh? Isn't the game's main storyline a totally new what-if concerning Trunks and the future/alternate timeline leading up to a battle with Majin Buu? Why... Piccolo? I mean, he's cool and all... *scratches head*

The game still seems on-track for a US release on 20 March 2007, with a Japanese release still only "Spring".

Lots of great stuff coming your way... stay tuned...
