"DVD
Guide" Updates
VegettoEX
@ 11:55 pm EDT -- I've made a few updates here and
there throughout the "DVD
Guide". If you happen to come across anything
that's incorrect or out of date, let us know. It's
late and my eyes are starting to bug out. I'm sure
I messed up! ^^;; |

New
Tidbit — DBZ3 Extras
VegettoEX
@ 3:30 pm EDT -- Here we go! This is the video game
update I promised a week ago :P. We've finally added
a new "Tidbit"
to the site; this time it's the "DBZ3
Extras"! All of the information and screen-shots
you could want for all of the extra costumes and
bonus movies, you'll be able to find right there.
Enjoy!
Hey,
remember "Ask
VegettoEX"...? Wouldn't it be nice to have
an update to that section, again...? We think so,
too. Have any questions? Send 'em in! We'll try
and get back to work... ^^;;
This
will mean absolutely nothing to anyone who visits
the site these days, but if you'd like to get a
taste of where good ol' VegettoEX began back in
1998, check
it out. Note the lame "Gokou" spelling
and mention of power levels. How is Fortunecity
still around...? Shocking. Sparking, even. |

Featured
Conversations
VegettoEX
@ 10:33 am EDT -- Something I'd like to try every
weekend is highlighting one or two conversations
going on over on our forums, and just get some more
general participation. There's two I'd like to showcase
this weekend:
(1)
"Sparking!"
- Official "I Have It" Topic
(2) Question
on "I Walk Alone"
In
the first one, come tell us about how horrible of
a learning curve the game has! We've all been collectively
whining about the game for ages, now :P. And the
second one... well... I guess that one's just slightly
egocentric to post, but I felt like it :P. If you've
enjoyed the video (and judging from the responses,
many of you have), you might have fun reading a
little more in-depth about it.
Other
than that, we *do* have some new
stuff coming. My promise of a video game update
didn't quite happen, but I'll try and crunch it
out this weekend. It's essentially done... >.>
And
I know we're massively behind on the "Dragon
Box" news. We're getting to it...! Stay tuned
^_~. |

IGN
Sparking! (Budokai Tenkaichi)
Review
VegettoEX
@ 11:29 pm EDT -- IGN
has published their review for the American
version of Sparking! (Budokai Tenkaichi),
giving it an overall 8.2. Not too
shabby.
Look
for some more video-game-related updates, hopefully
tomorrow! |

Sparking!
Video Download + Screen Gallery
VegettoEX
@ 10:18 am EDT -- Sparking! That's right,
we've finally got the Japanese vocal opening to
the new PS2 game available for download; check it
out in the upper-right corner of the page. Big thanks
to lost_in_thought for the file
hosting. Everyone else be sure to thank him, as
well :D. The video's in a traditional MPGE-1 encode,
352x240, ~2500 kbps (amazingly, some people these
days still have problems with properly-encoded XviD
files!). The audio I replaced with a CD-ripped version
of the song, though, so it should sound slightly
cleaner.
In
addition to the video for download, we've got a
stills
gallery available for viewing with a whopping
129 images from the opening sequence. Check it out
in the appropriate
images gallery page. |

Domestic
Video Game News
VegettoEX
@ 6:48 pm EDT -- Whoa! More updates! While
we're still waiting for our (legit)
copies of Sparking! to arrive in the mail
(I didn't pay for the 2-day shipping ^^;;), let's
talk about some American game news! Note that all
of the links below point to FUNimation's online
store for convenience; feel free to pick them up
at your local gaming stores.
Sparking!
for the PS2 may have come out in
Japan yesterday on the 6th, but fret not US-PS2-owners...
the American
version (Budokai Tenkaichi) is due
out on October 19th.
Budokai
3 (Collector's Edition),
also for the PS2, is due out for
the lucky Americans on November 9th (NOTE:
pushed back to December 14th). Atari's
enhanced re-release is a cheap $19.99, sports
the original Japanese cover art, and will feature
selectable English/Japanese language tracks for
the game. Europeans already got their hands on this
special treat, so be sure to check it out if you
get the chance.
Bukû
Ressen
(the sequel to Bukû Tôgeki)
for the Nintendo DS is due out
in Japan on December 1st. The American version of
the game (Supersonic Warriors 2) is listed
by FUNimation as available the week of November
22nd. Sorry,
no Japanese cover art for this one, yet... let me
know if you've come across it!
Legacy
of Goku 1 & 2
for the GBA is a compilation of
the first two games in the series on the same cartridge,
and is set
for release on December 14th.
That's
technically at least one new game release every
month until the end of the year! Sweet deal! Big
thanks to Mike on the
forum for the heads-up on things we've missed.
I know we have a lot of other things to catch up
on (like the upcoming individual Japanese DBZ DVDs;
we'll have a page for the "DVD
Guide" soon), but we're working hard on
it all~! See you soon. |

Sparking!
Ships; Officially Due Out in Two Days!
VegettoEX
@ 10:33 pm EDT -- Hey folks! I received
that great, magical e-mail from Play-Asia
this evening stating that my copy of Sparking!
has been shipped. Huzzah! The game's release date
is technically 06 October 2005,
which is in two days. The excitement builds! We'll
have a rip of the Japanese version's opening theme
(including "WE GOTTA POWER!")
as soon as we can for you.
Kyokochan83
dropped us a line to share the new 2006 calendar
that was released back on September 22nd. You can
grab it over
on CDJapan for about $18. Check it out! Some
nice, new artwork. |

New
AMVs! Sections Return!
VegettoEX
@ 8:10 pm EDT -- Ossu! We're back in action!
Most of the sections have returned, and you should
be able to find yourself right back at home. There's
a few things I'm keeping down for the first month,
just in order to watch our bandwidth and make sure
everything stays all in order. If you run into any
specific problems, be sure to let me know! Otherwise,
enjoy.
With
that said, check out the three
new music videos! Even if you're not into that
sorta thing, there's a new DBGT Commercial Parody
that you might be interested in. Remember FUNimation's
"You Don't Know GT!" commercial?
Exactly ^_~. In addition to that, you'll find my
Iron Editor practice video (with the actual Iron
Editor video from this past AWA coming soon... we
won!). Finally, to top it all off, you'll find our
video from AWA's Pro contest, which had nominations
in four categories! Whoa!
While
that one didn't pick anything up, I Walk Alone
ended up receiving the "Joseph Campbell Memorial
Character Profile Award" in the Exposition
contest. If you're confused, check out the appropriate
Wikipedia article. It should all make sense,
then!
So
check out all of the new
music videos. A few are encoded as (DivX-5 compatible)
XviDs, but there should be no playback problems.
Enjoy! If you happen to have anything to say about
the videos, feel free to drop
by the forum.
See
you, soon! |

VegettoEX
@ 12:00 am EDT -- Heyas everyone! If you're reading
this message, you're officially seeing the new hosted
site! Hurray! While DNS numbers propagate across
the internet, we're only going to have the main
page operational. Once things are a little more
consistent, we'll go ahead and start opening up
the rest of the site, again.
In
the meantime, you're more than welcome to come hook
up with us over on the message
board, or also talk with us over in #daizenshuu
(irc.rizon.net).

VegettoEX
@ 10:05 pm EDT -- Heyas everyone! For a bit more
of a detailed explanation on what's been going on,
just head on over to this
thread on our message board. Otherwise, just
read the rest of this update ^_~.
We're
officially moving Daizenshuu EX over to
a new web host. If you're seeing this message, you're
still seeing the old Rutgers site. Hold on tight
for another day or so, and you'll see the new host.
In
the meantime, please make sure all of your
bookmarks and website links point to www.daizex.com,
and not the old Rutgers (www.eden.rutgers.edu)
address!
See
you soon at the new host! |
