"Ask
VegettoEX" Updated
VegettoEX
@ 5:20 pm EST -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been updated with half-a-dozen
questions for the week. We've been getting some
really interesting questions that result in some
neat "Japanese 101"-type answers... fun
stuff.
Uhh...
dunno what we'll have during the week. Some new
scans, perhaps (at least April's Shonen Jump...
it being out, already, and all). Ah, well... we'll
figure it out as it comes. See ya! |

New
Song Lyrics! TWO sets of 'em!
Julian @ 4:00
pm EST -- As my second semester here at college
starts to gear up for midterm exams, I'm finding
myself with a little less free time than I'd like.
Nevertheless, I am proud to bring you... *drumroll*
two new songs, over in the "Lyrics"
section! "Muten
Rôshi no Oshie" and "Son
Gokû Songu" are both in-character
insert songs from the original DB. There are four
more inserts from that series to do (including one
starring Yamcha), and after that I'll move on to
video game themes. So, be patient... I'll get to
"Hikari no WILL POWER" soon enough.
In
other news, our quest to get the full-length vocal
version of the Budokai 2 theme continues.
If only they'd release a soundtrack or something...
*shrug*
Anyways,
that's it for now. Seeya this weekend~ |

"Ask
VegettoEX," Rumors, Images, and more!
VegettoEX
@ 6:33 pm EST -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been updated with the (few)
questions we received this week. There's only a
couple, but you'll get a pretty cool crash course
in Japanese honorifics!
The
"Rumor
Guide" has been updated with two new rumors!
I'm telling ya', this section is
hugely keeping me interested and having fun with
the site! These two rumors are huge,
and one of these explanations will (hopefully) finally
put some of those ill-mannered editorials to rest!
We present you with the two following rumors, and
their explanations:
Pictures
galore you will find explaining these two rumors,
along with lots of Japanese translations! Awesome,
awesome stuff.
Also,
we've got some new images! Over on the "Covers"
page, you will find the cover of the March 2004
Shonen Jump, as well as the covers for
two newly-released Japanese books, DB Landmark
(1), and DBZ: Son Gokû Densetsu.
Be sure to check 'em out!
We've
also cleaned up a few things here and there (such
as the "Music
Downloads" page), so keep your eyes open.
Also, look forward to a couple new song lyrics from
Julian very soon. Talk to you on the forums! |

"Rumor
Guide" Update
VegettoEX
@ 11:23 pm EST -- The "Rumor
Guide" has been updated with two new rumors!
This section is incredibly fun to work on, and it's
a blast putting to rest interesting things such
as:
What's
most interesting about these two rumors is that
there's actually some truth / substance behind them
both!
Dunno
what else we'll come up with this week, but hopefully
I'll get "This is DBZ Life"
uploaded again (people have been asking for Scott's
video a lot, lately), and / or some other fun stuff~!
Big
thanks to everyone who's been giving us some great
conversation over on the message
board. In a little over a month, we've gotten
100 members, over 75% of which are actually active
participants! w00t~! |

"Ask
VegettoEX Julian," New "Dragon
Box" Images
Julian @ 4:00
pm EST -- Now that I've come down off that 00b3r
sugar high from yesterday, it's time for me to attend
to more serious business-- aw, hell, who am I kidding,
this is all fun to do! Anyways, since Mike's out
this weekend, I, the faithful assistant-webmaster,
have compiled this week's installment of "Ask
VegettoEX Julian" in his place.
We've got some interesting stuff, so be sure to
take a look.
Also,
included with my latest batch of Kanzenban
stuff were some images of the upcoming Japanese
DragonBall DVD "Dragon
Box." This
is how the box and discs will look, and here
is a shot of the Tenka-ichi Budôkai Diorama
Set that'll come with it (including more figures
in addition to Goku and Kuririn). Looks cool...
too bad I don't have a spare ¥100,000 to fork
over. -_-
Anyways,
that's all for this weekend. Either Mike or I'll
probably have a scan of the March Shonen Jump
issue by next weekend, and as always, we'll keep
our eyes and ears open for the latest DB-related
info. Ja ne~ |

New
DVDs, Post-Cell Kanzenban, Lots o' Chocolate...
Julian @ 1:35
pm EST -- Well, it's once again that time of year...
time to stuff your face with as much
cheap chocolate as humanly —
err... *ahem* What I mean to say, is, happy Valentine's
Day! Enjoy your saint's - feast - coupled - with
- Roman - fertility - festival - and - business
- marketing holiday, and don't forget about the
CANDY!! *ahem* Right.
Anyways,
if you'll turn your attention to the "DVD
Guide," We now have the release dates for the
final volume of GT (at least in terms of series
order) and the next "Cell Games" DBZ disc.
In addition, I've gone ahead and posted the latest
Kanzenban images to the "Covers"
and "Other
Artists" sections, so be sure to check
those out. Hooray for post-Cell Gohan!
In
other site news, I've begun working on the "Manga
Guide," but it's gonna be awhile before
I've got it to a reasonable level of completion.
I guess I should just be glad this isn't a KochiKame
fansite. But anyways, that's the news for now. Mike's
out this weekend, so I'll be back later this weekend
with another round of "Ask
VegettoEX Julian." See ya' then! |

New
DBZ GBA RPG; Budokai 2 for Gamecube
VegettoEX
@ 4:37 pm EST -- The
Magic Box has posted some new information from
Atari. On June 29th, Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic
will be released on the GameBoy Advance; this will
be a new RPG (no word on any relation it may have
to the Legacy of Goku series, and/or how
they'll handle the fact that.. well.. there's already
a very well-known Super Sonic in video games...).
Also,
there is "unconfirmed" news that Budokai
2 will hit the Gamecube in August of this year
(also, no word on whether or not it will have any
of the Japanese version's extras, but it is unlikely). |

"Ask
VegettoEX" + New "Animation" Image
Gallery!
VegettoEX
@ 1:35 pm EST -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been updated for the week
with some great questions. Everything you never
wanted to know about time travel can be
covered with all the resources and links we've given
you. Hopefully you'll get the same headache that
I had for days after reading it
all~! Have fun!
In
addition to that, we're premiering a great new addition
to the "Images"
section. Ever wanted a section that would just lay
out for you a bunch of images from all the opening
and ending animations to the series? Including video
games? Pictures that look really nice? Look no further!
The "Animation"
section is opening with a whopping 350 images
for you to check out, including images from games
like Final Bout and Budokai 2.
Enjoy!
See you all on the forums
having mental breakdowns!
And
be sure to read about Kuriza, below! |

Freeza
Has a Son! And he's in Budokai 2... sorta!
VegettoEX
@ 2:50 am EST -- If you've been reading Neko
Majin Z, no doubt you've become familiar with
Kuriza... Freeza's son. He's making
another appearance in the third Neko Majin Z,
but that's not all...
Good
ol' Greg
Werner, who's hiding out in the streets of Japan,
sent us over two pictures of Kuriza...
in Budokai 2!! Unfortunately... he's only
in the Japanese version of the game (called, simply,
DragonBall Z 2). Here are the pics (taken
on his cell phone):
Thanks,
Greg. You ride that duck!
Uhh...
I need to sleep. |

GT's
First 16 episodes + TV Special DVDs Announced
VegettoEX
@ 5:16 pm EST -- As leaked reported by FUNimation's
Lance Heiskell on the Anime
on DVD forums, the (actual)
first two volumes of DragonBall GT will
be released on July 13th, with three episodes per
volume. The first 16 episodes (being referred to
as the "Lost Episodes") will
span five volumes; yeah, that's gonna be a 3/3/3/3/4
(or similar) kinda set up, which is very silly...
really shoulda considered packing
them more a-la DragonBall, folks... *shrugs*
Regardless,
they are coming out, and the GT
TV special has been assured for after the completion
of the entire TV series. Julian's already gone ahead
and updated the DBGT
section of the "DVD
Guide" with the new info.
Hey,
if you want a really bad headache, come talk about
recursive timelines on the forum!
Oh,
and props to the Tokyo
Mew Mew fans for the most mature campaign
I've seen in recent anime fandom. *bows* |

"Rumor
Guide" & "DVD Guide" Updates
VegettoEX
@ 4:49 pm EST -- The "Rumor
Guide" has been updated with an interesting
tidbit. Remember how Piccolo blew up Goku's spaceship
in that filler episode? Remember how Goku flew to
Namek... on his own spaceship? Shouldn't there be
some kind of contradiction there?! Actually... there
isn't! Silly
dub!
The
"DVD
Guide" has also been updated with the cover
art for the next two DBGT
volumes, as well as the next "Cell
Games" volume. Yay.
Progress
is going hard, fast, and insane on a bunch
of new sections (which you can get a preview of
if you sign up on the forum!). You can see from
inactive links on the menu that we've got a "Character
Guide" and a "Transformation
Guide" in the works (unlike any you've
seen before, no doubt!), but also some other great
stuff. Julian's plowing through a revamp of the
"Manga Guide," while
I'm also working on some completely insane new sections
with a little help from some old friends. Look forward
to it all, please!
See ya's
on the forums, of course! |
