DragonBall Z 3 (known as Budokai 3 outside of Japan) featured a huge assortment of characters, finally truly branching into the idea of taking non-traditional characters (Bardock, Yi Xing Long) and including them in the game.

The game features multiple, selectable costumes for each character. In addition to this, many characters can also transform (such as turning SSJ) in the middle of a battle. Rather than showcase each transformation of each costume, we've chosen to simply showcase the most identifiable version of each individual character. We have included a chart (see below) that lists each costume for each character, as well as which transformations are available to them.

Note that fusion characters (Gogeta, SSJ4 Gogeta, Vegetto, Gotenks, & Kibitoshin) can not be selected on their own. You must select an appropriate character before the match, equip their necessary fusion capsule, and perform the fusion during the middle of the match.

These screens all come from 100%-completed versions of both the North American and Japanese releases of the game.

The Japanese version of the game, released approximately four months after the American & European versions, featured an additional three selectable costumes for Goku, Piccolo, and Trunks. These are also not additional "characters"; however, since so many people are on the lookout for images of these costumes, we have included them, below.
