Bukû
Tôgeki - First Screen Shots for new GBA
Game
VegettoEX
@ 9:38 pm EST -- The
Magic Box has released a set of new images from
Banpresto's upcoming DBZ game for the GameBoy Advance
in Japan, now titled Bukû Tôgeki
(roughly, "Flying Battle Show" —
and yes, they transliterated the title wrong on
their page). This is the game that will be done
in Marvel vs Capcom 2 style with 3-vs-3
fights, and apparently backgrounds that span up
to four screens. Pretty interesting stuff! Yay,
more DBZ games!
Feel
free to discuss this upcoming game in
the thread on our message board! We're always
looking for new chatters,
as well!
Cheap
Super 17 on DVD
VegettoEX
@ 1:25 pm EST -- I hate to plug products, but I
was checking out prices for myself, today, and noticed
a nice little deal. Best Buy is always great for
release-date purchases, and since the two Super
17 (DBGT) volumes came out today, I figured I'd
see what they were going for on Best Buy. Their
prices today are actually LOWER than Amazon's pre-order
prices! Check out both "Calculations"
and "Revelations"
for $16.99 each. And even if you
don't pick them up in stores, BestBuy.com
offers free shipping! Happy Belated-Holidays! |

"Ask
VegettoEX" back on weekly schedule!
VegettoEX
@ 1:35 pm EST -- Even though I took the trip home
to the parents' house for the holidays, I've got
a nice little update to "Ask
VegettoEX" for everyone. We're back on
the weekly schedule, so no more 20 questions :P.
A nice, round six questions for the week. Good questions,
too!
I'm
supposed to be working on doing screencaps from
some DBZ movies for a huge udpate to the "Movie
Guide," but between AVIsynth problems and
countless rounds of Budokai 2 (obviously),
Double Dash, and Mario Party 5...
well... maybe I'll get around to
doing more site stuff, soon ^^;;;; |

Brief
Christmas Update
Julian @ 9:00
pm EST -- It may be a federal holiday today, but
that won't stop me from keeping this page up-to-date
with the latest in... err... stuff!!
Today,
I have for you the latest Shonen Jump cover,
which can be found (appropriately enough) over in
our "Covers"
section.
That's
all for today, really. We will have some
more new images coming your way over the next few
weeks, though, as I busy myself with laying the
foundations for the real "Manga Guide"
I never got around to doing before. (That section
you see there now is more of a placeholder I intended
for personal reference.) Not sure when the section
itself will be done, but at least you'll have plenty
o' cover images to drool over in the meantime.
For
now, however, good night, and have a pleasant holiday. |

"Ask
VegettoEX," New "Dragon Box," + more
news !!
VegettoEX
@ 5:57 am EST -- Big day for news! Before (or after,
actually) you read all the news, be sure to check
out this week's update to "Ask
VegettoEX." Tons of great questions...
maybe we'll start getting back onto a weekly-update
basis for it, again? Who knows! Regardless, read
'em all~!
In
more important news, Toei
has announced a new "Dragon Box" in
Japan! This time, the entire 153-episode DragonBall
TV series will be released on R2 DVD by Toei Animation
in Japan. Some of the details Julian's translated
outta the page:
- Pre-orders
begin January 1st
- Goes
on sale 7 July 2004
- ¥105,000
- 26
discs (153 episodes)
- Tenka-ichi
Budôkai diorama set designed by Toriyama
- Exclusive
Booklet
- Video
Extras
Come
check out what's going on and discuss it over in
this
thread on our message board. Very cool stuff!
At this rate, we can assume a GT "Dragon Box"
in 2005, probably.
In
much less interesting news, Bandai will be releasing
"Budokai 2" for the PlayStation
2 in Japan on 22 January 2004 for the price of ¥6800.
Thanks to The
Magic Box for the heads-up.
And
of course, if you haven't visited in a while and
(somehow) missed it, check out the great-o new "Rumors"
section! |

Images
Update
Julian @ 2:15
am EST -- Okay...I'm gonna try and make this quick,
since I have my Archaeology final in... *counts*
less than 7 hours. First off, we've got the next
two DB kanzenban volume images over in
the "Covers"
section, and the next "Other
Artists" image, as well (this month's is
by Norihiro Yagi, author of Claymore).
And
with that, I part. Must... get... sleep... |

DragonBall
GT Game, Huh... ?
VegettoEX
@ 5:57 am EST -- First off, don't expect another
fantastic update to "Ask
VegettoEX" this week. Just ain't happening.
Second, go visit the "Rumor
Guide." It's great.
The
real "news" is a supposed DragonBall
GT game coming out for the PS2 next year. The
very end of Jeremy Dunham's review of Budokai
2 for ign.com
reads, "And with Dragon Ball GT headed
for the PlayStation 2 sometime next year it's a
possibility we can certainly anticipate; but only
the passage of time and the cries of its fans can
make it happen." ... a new GT game? Interesting.
Haven't heard anything from Atari on this, but it
certainly shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
The Budokai games have been doing EXTREMELY
well. Although... it would be really
funny if they just released Final Bout
on an unsuspecting crowd of newbie gamers... Bwuaha...
>.<
Yeah.
"Rumor
Guide." Sucka~. |

Presenting...
(*drumroll*)... the Rumor Guide!
Julian @ 4:45
pm EST -- Well... it's taken us a bit, but Mike
and I are finally ready to roll out the next new
section for Daizenshuu EX: the Rumor
Guide! No matter what the misconception, the
hearsay, or whatever else, look here for an answer!
Work
some other new stuff is progressing fairly smoothly,
but don't expect anything really major
until late this month or early January. Mike's pretty
sick with the flu right now, so that's not helping
things, but we're soldiering on. Expect an update
to the "Covers"
section sometime next week.
As
for "Ask VegettoEX,"
well... that one pretty much depends on how long
Mike can stay out of bed without passing out on
the keyboard. If he's not up to it this weekend,
we could always do another huge one next week, but
we'll see.
Anyways,
go see the new section,
and feel free to contribute any rumors you've heard
to the mix (following the process we've laid out
on the "General
Rumors" page), so we can add to and improve
on what we've already got. Enjoy! |

Yay,
Another Massive "Ask VegettoEX" Update!
VegettoEX
@ 9:07 pm EST -- "Ask
VegettoEX" has been updated with... again...
TWENTY questions for the week! I could have answered
more, but I just had to draw the line, somewhere.
I've got papers to write for classes, ya' know!
Be sure to check it out... really good stuff, again,
this week.
I
may have even updated with some other stuff and
I don't realize it. Julian and I have been doing
our early-slave work for a while, now, getting some
huge projects ready to go over winter break. Look
for some awesome new guides, coming soon...
PLEASE
come hang out in the chat
room, and to not as high a priority,
but still cool, please come check us out over on
the message
board. In either place you get sneak-peaks
at what we're working on for the site, and can get
any questions you need answered.. well.. answered~! |

Yet
*Another* New DBZ Video Game
VegettoEX
@ 7:44 pm EST -- Not to be outdone by Atari in America,
Banpresto (Bandai) of Japan is currently in the
process of creating their own GameBoy Advance fighting
game! Unlike previous fighters, this will be a 3-on-3
fighter (a-la Marvel vs. Capcom). You can
check out some early screen-shots via the fantastic
Magic
Box website.
Note
that this game is currently slated for JAPAN-ONLY
release, and is in ADDITION to Banpresto's Japanese
release of Taiketsu for the GBA, as mentioned
in an earlier update.
And
hey, the "DVD
Guide" has been updated all over the place.
Some new DBZ and DBGT DVDs have been announced.
Check 'em out... and stuff.
Hugely
Massive "Covers" Update - Part 2
VegettoEX
@ 6:44 pm EST -- Been slaving over this for quite
some time now, but I went on a scanning-spree, myself,
and have come back with a bunch o' new "Covers"
for people to check out. I did all of the original
Japanese tankôbon I have, as well as the "Shonen
Jump" printings of the DBZ manga I purchased
over break. I also redid the entire directory structure
for that section :P. Expect lots more, soon!
I'll
be throwing some old November updates into an archive
page soon... too hungry to do it right now... gotta
get some dinner...
Double-length
"Ask VegettoEX"
coming again next weekend! Be sure to get any questions
in that you'd like to have answered. |
